Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Calls for Focusing on Forming Strong and Efficient Provincial Councils

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Superior Council of Iraq, stressed during an extended Shura meeting held by the Martyr of the Niche movement and presided over by his Eminence in his office on Monday, April 22, 2013, the necessity of forming strong and efficient provincial councils, calling on the Iraqi voters to follow up the promises made by candidates and make them live up to them.
His Eminence said he is grateful for the candidates of the Martyr of the Niche movement for their active contribution in making the elections a success, prompting them to directly work and communicate with the people and serve them. He maintained that the Citizen Coalition strongly believes that diversity is the strength of Iraq, and will give outstretched hand to all of the winners in the elections in order to build this country and drive it to a bright future, pointing that the democracy is a win-win game and everyone will benefit from it by enjoying the freedom of choice and decision-making.
