    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Calls for the Support of the Upcoming Provincial Councils and Clear the Obstacles in their Path

    During a meeting with the Secretary General of the Islamic Virtue Party, in his office in Baghdad on Thursday, April 25, 2013, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Superior Council of Iraq, called for the support of the upcoming provincial councils and clear the obstacles in their path. He considered that the success of the provinces and their to-be councils is contingent on the combined efforts of both the federal government and the Parliament to favor the growth of the Iraqi provinces.
    Both parties also discussed the developments of the political process in Iraq, while his Eminence reiterated that the appeasement and dialogue policy is the only way out of the current political crisis.
