    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Stresses the Need to Calm the Waters and Find an Immediate Way out of the Current Crisis

    During a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq, Saleh al-Mutlaq, in his Eminence’s office in Baghdad on Thursday, April 25, 2013, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Superior Council of Iraq, reiterated the need for appeasement and neutral investigation to overcome the current crisis, expressing grief for all those victims among the citizen population and the security apparatuses. 
     Both parties also discussed the developments of the political process in Iraq and the election results, while his Eminence considered the last elections a great step towards more democracy in the country.
