During a meeting with his Excellency the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Younis Demirr, in his Eminence's office in Baghdad on Monday, May 6, 2013, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of Islamic Superior Council of Iraq, highlighted the concern of the Superior Council in urging all the Iraqi political parties to work together towards success and better services for the citizens. According to him, the Superior Council reiterates the commitment of all the components of the Iraqi people to the national unity, and believes in the national project which ensures the unity of the country and the coexistence between all the citizens.
For his part, The Turkish ambassador conveyed the greetings of his government to Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, congratulating his Eminence for the good and advanced results achieved by the Superior Council in the last elections. He also reiterated the concern of his country in strengthening the relations and overcoming any obstacles that stand in the way of more cooperation and development of the brotherhood and friendship between both peoples and countries. Both sides also discussed the current situations in the region.
