Martin Kobler Appreciates the Efforts and Visions of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Regarding How to Find a Way Out of the Current Political Crisis

During a meeting with the United Nations Secretary General's Special Representative for Iraq, Martin Kobler, in his Eminence's office in Baghdad Monday, May 13, 2013, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Superior Council of Iraq, asserted that finding a solution for the political crisis is still open and the doors have not been shut yet, stressing the necessity that the political forces be convinced that there is no other way out of the crisis except through the dialogue.
His Eminence pointed out to the results of the last elections in Iraq, underlying the need to form consistent teams in the to-be local governments so that they would be able to provide better services for people.
For his part, Kobler appreciated the visions and proposals of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, affirming that the United Nations agrees with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim on the need to engage in dialogue to end the current political crisis and to shy away from the categorical escalation.
