A Delegation from the Islamic Superior Council of Iraq Led by Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Arrives to Sulaymaniyah

After Erbil, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Superior Council of Iraq, arrived to Sulaymaniyah Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was received at the city airport by Mala Bakhtiar, head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Political Bureau along with a number of the Bureau's members.
His Eminence has underlined the great history and strength of the unconquerable Sulaymaniyah from which Mr. President Talabani started his unforgettable journey of struggle, considering his frequent visits to the cities of the Region as ones motivated by the love felt towards Kurd fellows, and the  harmony and communication with them. Here he has recalled the common history between the Kurds and the Superior Council since the fatwa of Imam Muhsin al-Hakim (may Allah sanctify his soul) to that of the Martyr of the Niche and Iraq's Aziz. Moreover, his Eminence has pointed to how badly Iraq needs a figure like President Talabani given the crucial and important role he has been playing, adding that the exchange of visits between the delegations from the Kurdistan region and Baghdad are the roadmap to resolve the disputes and that the object of his visit to Erbil was to discuss the Iraqi concerns and the regional situation, while the same issues would be discussed with the fellows in Sulaymanyah.
