The head of the Chaldean Catholic Church for Iraq and the world and heads of the Christian denominations in Iraq declared their support for Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim's initiative to hold a national symbolic meeting that brings together all the Iraqi political blocs.
This came on Thursday, 30/5/2013, during a meeting between Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council, and the Patriarch Louis Raphael I Sako, the head of the Christian Endowment and other religions, Raad Kajaji and the heads of the Christian denominations in Iraq in his Eminence's office in Baghdad, during which his Eminence stressed the need to reinforce cooperation and unity between all components and denominations of the Iraqi people while preventing the enemies of Iraq from igniting a detestable sectarian rift.
