During a visit to Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Describes his Eminence's Initiative to Hold the Symbolic Meeting of the Political Leaders as Bold

The US deputy assistant Secretary of State, Bert Mccork, described Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim's initiative to hold the symbolic meeting of the political leaders as bold, saying Iraq badly needs an initiative like this given its positive impact on the success and progress of the political process.
This came during a visit paid by the US official to his Eminence Sunday, 9/6/2013, in the latter's office in Baghdad.
During the meeting, his Eminence said the symbolic meeting of the political leaders showed that everyone agrees on making the political process a success and building Iraq, explaining that to overcome the disputes requires a stronger political will to resolve the problems and crises the country is facing.
For his part, the US official praised the leadership and astuteness of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim in bringing the parties together, an act that guarantees the stability of the country. He also stressed the necessity of holding constant meetings between the Iraqi leaders and enacting the laws that contribute to appeasement.
