    During a Meeting with Mr. al-Jaafari, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Confirms his Support for all the Governors and the New Local Governments

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, confirmed his full support for all the governors and the new local governments, stressing the importance of maintain the state of harmony, love and common work between the provincial councils with their big and small winning blocs. He also pointed that some of the provincial councils were formed by way of partnership and by the political majority in other provinces. 
    This came during a meeting with Mr. Ibrahim al-Jaafari, head of the United Iraqi Alliance and head of the National Reform Trend in his Eminence’s office in Baghdad Tuesday, 18/6/2013. 
    Both sides also discussed the latest developments in the country, particularly the formation of the provincial councils. 
    For his part, Mr. al-Jaafari congratulated Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for his national initiatives aiming to unite the ranks, the latest being the symbolic meeting of the political leaders, stating that the meeting with his Eminence revolved around all what concerns the formation of the provincial councils, underlying the need to support the local governments, to maintain the unity of the Iraqi Alliance with all its components and to use such alliance in order to build bridges with the other alliances.
