The Ambassador of Japan in Iraq expressed his admiration for the pivotal role of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim in convening all the political leaders, thus contributing in settling the situation and thawing the frozen relations between different Iraqi parties. He also congratulated his Eminence for the local election results and the formation of the local governments. 
This came during a meeting between Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, and the Ambassador of Japan in Iraq, Massato Taka Waka, in his Eminence's office in Baghdad Thursday, 20/6/2013. 
His Eminence welcomed the cooperation between both countries, showing his gratitude for the supportive Japanese positions towards Iraq and said we can take advantage of the rich Japanese experience to develop the infrastructures and projects in Iraq. 
Both sides also discussed the relations between both countries and how to develop them. 
For his part, the Ambassador of Japan compared the Iraqi experience to the Japanese one, where the Japanese people faced and overcame the difficulties and obstacles.
