Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, considered the attack against the martyr Sheikh Hassan Shehata, his two brothers and one of his devotees carried out by extremist groups as having derailed the efforts of rapprochement and spread of tolerance in the Islamic world. This is the comment his Eminence posted on the social networking service, Facebook, on Monday, 24/6/2013. His Eminence depicted the assault against sheikh Shehata as a setback because his adoption of the doctrine of the Household (AS), hoping that such crimes which are far from the religion of Islam and its message of tolerance be the last.
