During the 16th Ramadan Night Event, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Urge those in Charge of the Security Dossier to Take the Courage to Resign and Admit their Failure

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, urged those in charge of the security dossier in the country to take the courage to resign and admit their failure and inability to manage and assume such responsibility which concerns the lives and blood of the innocent citizens, stressing the necessity of giving explanations to the citizens about the frequent attacks perpetrated against the sacred places during these holy days. This came during the 16th Ramadan night event held in his Eminence’s office in Baghdad Monday, 29/7/2013. Sayyid al-Hakim said the recurrent security breaches as they are today certainly point out to the carelessness of those in charge of the security dossier in the country. He also noted that the operation of Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons attempted several days ago as well as the following big operations and the large scale attacks require an urgent meeting of the national political leaders to discuss the plans put in place, and to put forward new suggestions and ideas that rein in this security deterioration. The head of the Islamic Supreme Council also expressed his concern and discontentment about the still vacant security ministerial positions in this sensitive and worsened situation.
Moreover, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim wondered about the billions of dollars being spent on the security dossier, as well as the hundred thousands of members and their real duty amidst the continuous large-scale terrorist attacks. He also wondered about the participation of the political leaders, their contribution to this dossier, and the responsibilities they should assume.
On the other side, his Eminence maintained that the attack against Ahl al-Bayt and their followers has been going on since the assassination of Imam Ali (AS) in the 11th night of Ramadan as long as this dark thought is alive, and that the persistence of the obscure ideas of this thought which allows the bloodshed of children, women, sheikhs and sacred places and days, considering the similarity between such thought and that which targeted Imam Ali (AS), while leading the prayers, as illustrative of perverse thoughts and fake slogans boasted by those of ill thought and a serious deviated and corrupted reasoning. He also explained that such thought remains as long as the course drawn by the Leader of the faithful (PBUH) is in action in the nation and has believers and followers.
