    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Discusses with Australian Ambassador the Bilateral Relationships and the Developments in the Region


    The Australian Ambassador to Iraq underlined the continuing support of the new government in her country and its positive way of dealing with the political and democratic process in Iraq, expressing as well her sympathy with the Iraqi people regarding the death of many due to terrorist attacks.
    This came when the Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, received in his Baghdad office on Thursday, 12/9/2013, Her Excellency the Ambassador of Australia to Iraq Lindal Sax.
    His Eminence asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings to the new Australian government and extended his gratitude for Australia’s sympathy with the Iraqi people during the current ordeal and terrorist attacks.
    Also were discussed during the meeting the regional developments, in particular, the situation in Syria. The two sides expressed their common desire to see peaceful solutions based on dialogue to solve the crisis and end the suffering of the Syrian people.
