Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iran, met Monday, 7/10/2013 in Tehran, with the leader of the Islamic revolution of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (may Allah protect him), where Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim explained the situation in Iraq and the region, as well as the bilateral relations between both sister countries, Iraq and Iran.
His Eminence Imam Khamenei underlined the historical dimensions of the relation between both brother peoples, stressing the need for more national unity in face of Iraq’s enemies. He also expressed his fear that the terrorist acts and the targeting of the innocent civilians continue, wishing the Iraqi people security, stability and prosperity.
During his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim met with a number of Iranian officials.
