    During his Meeting of the US ambassador in Baghdad, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Calls on the United States for Stronger Economic Presence in Iraq

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, calls on the United States for stronger economic presence in Iraq, make its companies contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq, given the importance of such presence and not to act only politically.
    This came during a meeting held between his Eminence and the US ambassador to Iraq, Robert Stephen Beecroft, on Thursday, October 10, 2013.
    Both sides discussed the situation developments in Iraq and the region, calling for adopting dialogue as the way to solve problems and crises, stressing the need to hold the elections on time.
     
    For his part, the US ambassador praised the efforts of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim and his moderate speech by which he seeks to unite the Iraqi political forces to build Iraq.
