Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received in the morning of the first day of Eid al-Adha al-Mubara in his office in Baghdad on Wednesday, 16/10/2013 a number of congratulators on the occasion of the Eid, including political, military, social and religious figures as well as a mass of the Iraqi citizens. Immediately after the Eid prayers and throughout the afternoon, his Eminence received the congratulators for the happy Eid, including the head of Baghdad provincial council, Riyad Al Addad; the governor of Kut, Mahmud Abdel Reza Talal; a number of the provincial council's members in Baghdad and Kut; the Baghdad-Resafa traffic director, General Zuheir Abada; a number of the army senior officers and the officers of the Ministry of Interior. His Eminence also received a group of the citizens of Karrada, including a number of tribal sheikhs, prominent figures and provincial natives, a delegation of the Christian community, leaders of Feylis, and a number of artists, intellectuals, poets, and writers, as well as university and academic professors.
The visitors extended their best wishes and blessings for his Eminence on the occasion of the Eid wishing for him and for the Iraqi people good health. 
For his part, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim expressed his strong gratitude for the feelings shown by the congratulators, praying to them that their acts and worships be accepted and wishing for the Iraqi people more security, stability and well-being.
