Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the importance of introducing the people to the principles of Imam Hussein's revolution, explaining that the parades held in honor of Hussein (AS) are one of the most important arms of the Husseini slogans. This came during the 8th conference of the Husseini parades held in Najaf under the sponsorship of Shaheed al Mehrab Foundation on Friday, November 1, 2013. The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq said the Husseini slogans are the prominent mark that safeguarded the revolution of Imam Hussein, which is the most ancient foundation – a 1400-year-aged entity- established by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), pointing out to the Husseini parades by which their organizers remind the people of the Imam's revolution and through which the latter express their commitment and adoption of the revolution of their Imam. He added that the Martyr of the Niche (may Allah sanctify his sole) viewed the Husseini slogans as proof preserving the religion in this good country. His Eminence called the organizers of the Husseini parades for cooperation and coordination with the security organs, showing that security is an issue to be shared between the citizens and the security forces, urging the participants of the parades to be careful of the terrorist attacks that target their parades since those are the main target.
