Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the importance of honest competition in the next elections, calling for using reasonable means away from twisted ones. This came during a meeting held in his Eminence’s office in Baghdad, on Thursday, 5/12/2013 with Dr. Ahmed Chalabi.
His Eminence discussed with Dr. Chalabi the regional developments and the results of the 5+1 group meeting and its impact on the region, as well as the general political scene and the next elections. 
For his part, Dr. Chalabi confirmed that he had a precious meeting with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in which the most important issues of Iraq and the region, as well as the last security development in Iraq, were considered, agreeing with the vision of his Eminence that Iraq can play bigger roles in the region.
