Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Receives Iranian Under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs
The Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, discussed the bilateral relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the developments in the region. His Eminence extended his condolences to the Iranian official for the martyrdom of a number of Iranians working in the country by terrorist and Takfiri groups, stressing the need for security apparatuses to stand strongly against terrorists who are shedding Iraqi blood and to eradicate terrorism for the stability in Iraq and the region.
This came when Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim was receiving the Iranian under-secretary of foreign affairs Hussain Al Hayan in his office in Baghdad, Tuesday 17/12/2013.
From his part, Mr. Al Hayan expressed his appreciation of the feelings shown by His Eminence for the killing of the Iranian workers in Iraq and pointed out that he’s united in solidarity with the Iraqi people who is suffering from blind terrorism. Al Hayan reiterated his country’s supporting stance of the Iraqis’ aspirations to democracy and well-being.
