The Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, shared Christmas celebrations with Christian Iraqis, on Wednesday, 25/12/2013.
His Eminence attended the Christmas mass in the Virgin Mary Cathedral, Marco Ricks Church, Our Lady of Deliverance Church and the national evangelic Christian union church.
His Eminence called upon Christians in Iraq to defy all the difficulties they are facing, just like the other confessions and categories of Iraqis, urging citizens to learn support and unity from the divine project of the Christ and Imam Hussein (peace be upon them).
From his part, the Chaldean Catholic Patriarch of Babylon Louis I Sako thanked Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim for his positions supporting Christians and the rest of confessions and components in Iraq, appreciating the political vision and statecraft His Eminence manifests to ensure the happiness and well-being of the Iraqi people and the progress of the political process in the country.
