Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met in his office in Baghdad on Sunday, January 12, 2014, with the governor of Basra, Mr.  Majid al-Nasrawi, where they discussed the situation of services in the province. In fact, the governor updated his Eminence with the last efforts made by the local government and the service projects expected by Basra.
His Eminence stressed the importance of giving broader powers to the provincial councils and of applying the petro(5) dollar since the oil-producing provinces deserve it.
