The Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, reiterated his support to the government and armed forces in countering terrorist organizations, stressing that Iraqis will remain attached to their unity and defend their existence and calling to make the birth of the Prophet (PBUH) a new beginning and real move forward towards brotherhood in Allah, country and destiny and to make the project bigger than the pains and the responsibility greater than personal considerations. His eminence highlighted the importance of using this occasion as a real ground for the love of the country and the love of others who share it with us and as a way to protect ourselves from distorted ideas. He added that this commemoration occurs at a time of conflict and terrorist attacks targeting unity and religion and attempting to intellectually intimidate us, stressing the importance of holding on to the authentic Islamic Mohammedan approach. His Eminence assured that everyone is expected to bear his responsibilities and duties toward the people and history, calling on the intellectuals, politicians, leaders, businessmen, scholars and researchers of the nation to reconsider their steps and decisions and make them aligned with the cultural heritage left by God’s prophet Mohamed (PBUH). Followers should follow the example of their leader, have his ethics and follow his course, he added, The Prophet (PBUH) was a leader with a distinguished style and an approach more developed than the one adopted by his precedents, even than those adopted nowadays. His eminence confirmed that the “Our Resisting Anbar” initiative originates from following suit to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) in the way he addressed crises and overcame dangerous phases.
This came during the celebration of the Prophet’s birth (the week of love and friendliness) for which Aziz Al Iraq (May Allah sanctify his soul) had called for the period between the 12th and 17th of Rabih Al Awal, and held in his eminence’s office in Baghdad and sixteen provinces through television circuit on Wednesday January 15, 2014.
The Messenger of Allah Was an Outstanding Leader with a Clear Vision and Straightforward Discourse
His Eminence indicated that some people have distorted these noble instructions, misunderstood the essence and spirit of religious, misinterpreted it and went far towards extremism and away from their moderation. He added that the Prophet (PBUH) was distinguished with his clear vision, straightforward discourse, reliable promises, fair governance, participatory decision-making, as well as the combination of management and leadership with religious ethics and values, mercy, peace, coexistence and equal opportunities. This approach was able to achieve what wasn’t achieved throughout the ages, he added. His Eminence also stated “From these constants, our honorable prophet (PBUH) started building the bases of the Islamic civilization. There is no injustice nor tyranny nor aggression, all are equal under the law and Shari’a. Arabs are not privileged over non-Arabs except for piety. There is no difference between Muslims, Jews, Christians or other People of the Book regarding the rights and duties of citizenship. The Mohammedan State of divine justice holds up the slogan of its prophet and leader- The weak among you shall be strong until I give them their rights, and the strong among you shall be weak until I take your rights from them”. His eminence indicated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) has started the project of building the state of justice and tolerance, therefore, his birth was the birth of a nation, a new start for humanity, the rise of a civilization and the emergence of the state of divine justice. He stressed that the nation following the religion of Mohamed (PBUH) has, today more than ever, to rise from its long lasting stumble and to get rid of the underdevelopment and weakness that has hit it in order to present to the world an honorable model of the Mohammedan call, far from hatred and modern ignorance. Sayyid Al Hakim called on the nation to defend their message far from the culture of beheading, takfirism and extremism. Everyone, from different social categories, is required to stand up right, reconsider their attitude and approach, and reprogram their ideas and projects so as to be in line with the authentic Mohammedan divine project.
The Honor Bestowed by Allah on our Prophet Has Only Made Him More and More Humble, thus Becoming a Divine Messenger in the Body of a Human
His Eminence explained the divine confirmation is by the praise and extolment of our holy prophet (PBUH) "And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character" so that Islam be a religion for the people based on mercy, flexibility, forgiveness, coexistence and peace, and a way of behaving for all men, improving their manners and setting right their behaviors. The divine honor bestowed upon our prophet, prophet of peace and humankind, goes beyond praise and extolment, to associate the greatest name of Allah with the name of His prophet and most beloved in the original shahada of men (declaration of the belief in the oneness of God) which established their belonging to this final message project, and in order that shahada to be one of the main pillars of Islam, and such honor has only made our prophet more and more humble, thus becoming a divine messenger in the body of a human from whose mercy and justice flow. He asserted that Islam was born as divine, proceeded as Mohammedan, took root as Husseini and will go on humanly because it is meant for the human being and for his development and promotion. Therefore, the message of the prophet (PBUH) is based on the monotheism so that only Allah, the Almighty, is worshiped, men are freed from idolatry and paganism, and the human thought is ridden from the distorted creed and the worship of humans and stones. He also added that the social and economic reform and the equal opportunities are among the key principles of the message where sharing is a characteristic of rich and poor and justice is achieved away from the discrimination between classes.
The Birth of the Holy Prophet Was not only an Important and Pivotal Event, but also a Historical Turning Point that Reshaped the Future of Humanity
The head of the Islamic Supreme Council stressed today that the commemoration of the birth of a prophet by whom Allah changed darkness into light, and saved the nations from ignorance, injustice, poverty, abuse, and the human fighting where the powerful dominate the weak. Out from the depth of these crises and the overwhelming decay, the world was expecting the birth of a person that would save men from their sins, and make them redeem their humanity, blow away the injustice and tyranny, and support the project of God on earth in creating a human nation that is proud of itself, enjoys high manners, and abandons humility, aberration, ignorance and paganism. He explained that among this environment drowned in darkness, intellectual, ethical and human decay, Mecca listened to the voice of rightness coming out from its narrow paths, and the alleys of this sacred city breathed the winds of freedom and of the new dawn, while received her orphan newborn who would be savior of a nation, the founder of a civilization, the master of the humanity, and the leader of the armies of faith and monotheism. His Eminence also stated that the birth of the holy prophet was not only an important and pivotal event, but also a historical turning point that reshaped the future of the humanity and set its final courses through his prophecy and message and that the prophet managed to create a nation from scratch and to turn the infertile Arab peninsula into a source of intellectual and civilization illumination that spreads all over the globe and reacted with all human species of all ethnicities, races and religious, cultural and social backgrounds. He made clear that his message does not proclaim any aspects of inflexibility, fanaticism, intellectual or behavioral bigotry, rather it represented the highest level of human decency in dealing with each other within an ethical concept as a principle loftier than men.
The ceremony included chants and poems that chanted the love of the holy prophet (PBUH) and was attended by a big crowd of believers, clergymen, and ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries.
