Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the necessity to provide the best services to the citizens of Basra, while praising the local government's efforts in Basra province in terms of vision and planning to end the suffering of the citizens of Basra. He also called for working cooperatively in order to promote the development of Basra which is the smiling face of Iraq, its beating heart  and its economic capital.
This came in a meeting between his Eminence and the governor of Basra, Dr. Majed Nasrawi, in his Eminence's office in Baghdad on Sunday, February 16, 2014. For his part, the governor of Basra briefed his Eminence on the ways to develop the service reality and projects, undertaking to implement the platform of the Citizen Alliance by all possible means.
