Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met in his office in Baghdad, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 with a delegation of tribal sheikhs, leaders and skills from Tal Afar district in Nineveh province.
During the meeting, they discussed the situations of Tal Afar citizens, where his Eminence reiterated his support for them, reminding of their positions in fighting terrorism and the Saddam regime. He also praised their big sacrifices and their alignment with the religious reference since the time of Imam Mohsen al-Hakim (may Allah sanctify his sole).
For their part, Tal Afar delegation appreciated the efforts of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim in trying to settle the problems and his constant support of the Turkmen followers of Ahl-al-Bayt, confirming that they will adhere to their project, have a wide participation in the next elections, and chose the right team which would take Iraq to a safe harbor.
