Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received in his office in Baghdad on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, with the deputy prime minister, Mr. Saleh al-Mutlaq.
During the meeting, they have discussed the developments of the political process in Iraq as well as the situation in the region and the next elections. For his part, his Eminence has stressed the importance of holding the elections as scheduled. Both sides have also discussed the services provided for the Iraqi citizens, and his Eminence underlined the importance of granting the provinces their constitutional powers.
