Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Says Fulfilling the Will of the Citizens and Developing their Capacities and Personalities Are Key to Resolve the Problems of our Community

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, maintained that the Iraqi community currently faces serious challenges and social and cultural problems, saying that it is through education, knowledge and fulfilling the will of the citizens that they can be rightly addressed. During his visit on Sunday, March 23, 2014to Baghdad Book Fair held in Baghdad International Fair, his Eminence added that given the political, service and security conditions Iraq has gone through over the last years, the focus was on other aspects of the building process, considering the real building is that of the human being which leads to a strong state and thus to a powerful government and solid platform providing services for its citizens. He also noted that there is a gap in the knowledge and cultural structure of the Iraqi community which needs to be filled by building the personality and knowledge of the citizens, and developing their capacities and energies because the problems can only be addressed through the citizens, considering the wide participation of the editing, printing and distribution houses and the diversity of the publications participating in the fair as source of reassurance and stability in the country.
