    In the Enlarged National Meeting of University Professors, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Stresses the Importance of the Well-defined Vision and the Harmonious Team to Advance the Iraqi Reality


    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the importance of the global, strategic and well-defined vision to build Iraq, underlining the importance that a harmonious, skillful team apply this vision. To him, the harmonious vision and team and the administrative revolution are the tools to reach a fair modern state. He said the politicians must also give solutions not only identify the conditions and problems the citizens go through as daily concerns, adding that the rivalries lead to nowhere, and that there is no other choice for the Iraqis but the country and the unity within the Iraqi project.
    This came during the enlarged national meeting of university professors held in his office in Baghdad on Thursday, March 27, 2014. 
    His Eminence maintained that the higher education is the main pillar of the development project because it deals with the citizens and the human energies which are the key to build a fair modern state, emphasizing the importance of the integrity between the education and higher education and the planning to build decent local universities that compete with the governmental universities. Moreover, he pointed out to the importance of updating the programs to match up with the evolving world, reiterating that the Iraq's crisis is a management crisis in all sectors. On the other hand, he called to improve the conditions of the infrastructure of the Iraqi universities and give attention to the missions, especially the management missions and their distribution proportionally to the number of citizens in each province. He explained that the universities may take part in the consultations to resolve the problems of ministries, indicating the importance of linking the university to the public life since it is an important stop for the intellectual brainstorming which brings about many solutions, stressing the need to take advantage of the scientific energies, for there is no retirement with the science.
