    In His Meeting with the French Ambassador, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Insists on Developing Bilateral Relations


    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the need to develop the relations between Iraq and France, so as to achieve the common interests of the two friend peoples and countries, assuring that the new Iraq aspires to openness and peace and is extending a hand of friendship to everyone, in order to achieve development and advancement in different areas.
    This came when his eminence was receiving his excellence ambassador of France to Iraq, Denis Gauer, in his office in Baghdad, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. 
    For his part, the French ambassador praised the wide participation of Iraqis in the recent elections and the enthusiasm they manifested by holding on to the democratic choice as a way to draw a promising future.
