Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received in his office in Baghdad on Sunday, May 11, 2014, the governor of Basra, Dr. Majed Al Nasrawi. His eminence stressed the need to provide better services to the citizens of Basra, highlighting in the same time the importance of granting local governments their full mandates. For his part, Al Nasrawi informed his eminence of the latest developments related to the service projects in Basra, and praised the visions and advices set forth by his eminence, underlining that the citizens of Basra appreciate his eminence’s support for their city and his persistent reclamation of their rights and the rights of Basra.
