Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received his Excellency ambassador of Japan to Iraq, Mr. Kazuya Nashia, in his eminence’s office in Baghdad, on Thursday, May 15, 2014.
During the meeting were discussed the relations between the two countries and prospects to develop them in different areas. His eminence assured Iraq’s eagerness to develop and strengthen its relation with Japan, so as to achieve the common interests of the two friend countries.
For his part, the Japanese ambassador extended his congratulations for the success of the parliamentary elections and the Iraqis’ attachment to the democratic choice, affirming that his government will keep supporting the democratic process in Iraq and the development of areas of cooperation between the two countries.
