Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, emphasized the importance of turning the National Alliance into an effective institution that can make decisions and control the officials it brings to the governmental positions, stressing the need to quickly form the next government following the announcement of the election results and that the results be flexible, transparent and reassuring for everyone. He also reiterated the conviction of the Citizen's Coalition in the harmonious team, the clear vision and the agreed platform considering those as the solution to overcome the failures of the previous stage and achieve success, while appreciating the participation of the Iraq voters on April 30.
This came during a meeting held between his Eminence in his office in Baghdad on May 15, 2014 and the Secretary General of the Islamic Virtue Party, Mr. Hashem al-Hashemi. 
For his part, Mr. al-Hashemi said his vision is in agreement with that of his Eminence, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, concerning the unity and the structure of the National Alliance, showing the importance of dialogue and meetings. He also called for developing the platforms of the National Alliance so as to catch up with the development taking place in the country, pointing to the importance of continuing the building process and filling the gaps through dialogue and agreement and urging for engaging in more dialogues.
