Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, expressed his hope that the participation of the “Sadiqun” Bloc in the elections and their obtainment of parliamentary seats would strengthen the harmony, development and communication. His eminence stressed, in the press conference held after receiving sheikh Qais Al Khazali, the head of the “Sadiqun” Bloc, in his office in Baghdad on Sunday, May 18, 2014, that the “Sadiqun” Bloc is a partner in the national alliance to be rebuilt.
The head of the Islamic Supreme Council assured that he discussed with sheikh Al Khazali the issue of elections and the sorting as well as the remarks that were made and some other problems relating to the counting of votes. He stated that this issue has the serious attention of everyone. His eminence also indicated that the two sides discussed the nature of the national alliance and how building it on strong bases will contribute in achieving the political stability of the country and will be the foundation of cooperation with partners in the national arena.
