Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, discussed with the leaderships of the Citizen's Coalition the awaited results of the elections, stressing the need to move quickly towards forming the government following the announcement of the results, if they are logical and reassuring for everybody, as well as the importance of a strong government in which the political powers can participate. He also reiterated that the National Alliance must be turned into an efficient institution than can make decision and hold the officials accountable.
 
This came during the meeting of the political body of the Citizen's Coalition presided over by his Eminence in his office in Baghdad on Sunday May 18, 2014. Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim underlined the importance of  a clear vision, an agreed platform and a harmonious team to run the country for the next four years.
