    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, Receiving the Turkish Ambassador, Expresses His Hope in the Formation of a Homogeneous Government With a Clear Vision That Achieves the Higher National Interest

     
    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, underlined that the democratic experience of holding the legislative elections in the country will contribute to the formation of a homogeneous government with a clear vision that would address the problems and crises and settle the different issues in order to achieve the higher national interest. His eminence explained that the recent elections represent a unique one-of-a-kind experience in the region.
    This came when Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim was receiving his Excellency the ambassador of Turkey to Iraq, Farouk Qaimagji, in his office in Baghdad on May 26, 2014.
    The two sides discussed the relations between Iraq and Turkey and ways to strengthen them.
    For his part, the Turkish ambassador assured his country’s eagerness to strengthen its relations with Iraq and reinforce security and stability in Iraq and the region. His Excellency extended his congratulations for the success of the recent parliamentary elections held in Iraq and expressed the Turkish government’s gratitude for the condolences letters sent by his eminence after the mine collapse incident.
