Presiding over the Enlarged Central Shura Meeting, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Says the Unity and Courage of Iraqis Block the Avid and Wrong Projects
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the importance of unity between all the components of the Iraqi people, saying the courage of the Iraqis blocks the avid and wrong projects. He also called on the Iraqis to assume their full responsibilities to the country and the holy places, reiterating the necessity of drawing up a security strategy, while praising the call of the supreme religious marja for the jihad, considering it as a deep vision of the danger threatening Iraq and an important factor in boosting the morale. Moreover, he maintained that the readiness of the Martyr of the Niche movement proved how quick the answering of the marjas' call is and how much they stick to the unity of Iraq, explaining that Iraq has the legal reasons and the doctrinal youth. Here he warned against being dragged by the psychological war and the rumors, calling for guarding against such ways.
This came during the enlarged central shura council presided by his Eminence on Monday, June 23, 2014 in his office in Baghdad.
His Eminence stressed the importance of countering the challenges with clear vision, urging the citizens of Nineveh, Anbar and Saladin to stand up against terrorism and congratulating the believers for the last blessed days of Shaaban and the coming of the holy month of Ramadan.
