On the Third Ramadan Evening Gathering, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Expresses Hope in Forming a Team that Provides a Clear Political and Security Vision to Rescue Iraq From the Crises

Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim stressed the need for a responsible attitude and action, for a responsible discourse, for diffusing love and harmony, reducing sensitivities and disputes and avoiding mutual accusations and charges of disloyalty, calling upon all political parties to measure to their responsibility and draw a smile on the faces of Iraqis. His eminence urged members of the new parliament to compete for the service of the country and the citizens, explaining that this is the way to make these MPs respected and appreciated by the people.
This came in the speech of the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, delivered on the third Ramadan evening gathering held at his eminence’s office in Baghdad on Tuesday, July 1st, 2014.
His eminence considered that those who show up on television and talk with hatred provoking people against each other and stirring sectarian and nationalist feelings are the ones responsible for the bloodshed and harm among people. He finally reminded everyone of the high religious authority’s statement last Friday when it called for appeasement by respecting one another, not harming others and not accusing them of disloyalty. He also expressed hope in forming a team that stands against terrorism and provides a clear political and security vision to rescue Iraq from the continuous crises.
