On the Fourth Ramadan Evening Gathering, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Says Dignity and Pride Cannot Be Earned without Defending the Country, Making Sacrifices for It and Assuming Responsibilities

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim said if we want a safe, free country, we must be committed to defending it, making sacrifices for it and assuming the responsibilities, as well as complying with the call of the wise Marjas. To him, everything has a price that everyone must pay. His Eminence stressed the need to hold on to what is right and to stay away from the accusations exchanged between the politicians, considering this as wrong analysis of these personalities or politicians and misinterpretation of the essence of Islam. In his opinion, this is a very serious issue and we must not remain silent about it since it shows the misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the attitudes and positions and the recklessness in issuing judgments.
This came during a speech delivered by Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, during the fourth Ramadan evening gathering in his office in Baghdad on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. His Eminence harshly criticized the publication by the media of classified governmental topics, issues and letters, considering it as unacceptable phenomenon that everyone rejects, calling for keeping the confidentiality of the information, documents and letters even if they are personal.
The head of the Islamic Supreme Council expressed his appreciation for and praised the young policemen, army and tribe members for their good commitment during the Holy Month of Ramadan albeit the hot weather and the obligations they have to undertake stating that this brings the mercy of Allah and the purple victory though they constitute part of the commitment to the values, the principles and the doctrine.
