Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the importance of the German government’s contribution in supporting Iraq’s efforts in its war against terrorism and in reconstruction the country in different areas. This came when his eminence was receiving in his office in Baghdad on Sunday, July 27, 2014, his Excellency the new ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Eghard Boroza.
The two sides exchanged their viewpoints regarding the different political matters and the economic relations and investment.
The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq congratulated the German ambassador on his new mission and wished him success, hoping that the German government would contribute in transferring the German expertise to Iraq in various fields and would seize the opportunities to play its outstanding role at different levels, especially at the economic one.
For his part, Mr. Eghard Boroza expressed his appreciation of the major role that Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim is playing in restoring the national cohesion, indicating that his eminence’s moderate vision will clear the political sky in the country and will support the political process.
