Affirming that the Future of the Nation Is More Sacred than any Office, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Says We Are Optimistic that a Government with Wide National Acceptance Will Be Formed
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said it is important that the truth prevails when the nation is facing its destiny, with no room for compliments and narrow accounts, refusing incomplete solutions when the nation is at a turning point. He added that we can't sacrifice the destiny of the next generations when it is on the edge because of the mistakes of a current generation, pointing out to the exceptional circumstances the displaced families are facing and considering them as great historical responsibility to God, the people and the history. He also called on everybody to recognize their responsibilities, because the responsibility is a commitment, not an obligation, warning that intransigent positions will only lead to more division and conflict, and that the future of the nation is bigger than any positions, more sacred than any offices and higher than any ranks. Moreover, he noted that Iraq is facing a pivotal challenge that can't be overcame with temporary solutions or slow, little steps, calling for taking courage and moving forward in large, certain steps and not to be limited to some positions which however great they are, remain insignificant before the greatness of this people and this nation. Here, he said he is optimistic that a government with wide national acceptance will be formed and will constitute a new start for the political process within the scheduled constitutional deadlines, stressing the importance of the unity of Iraq since it is the strategic, crucial project of the Martyr of the Niche movement which will never be turned away from, given up or compromised. He maintained that no one will be allowed to mark our "purely white" history with a negligence of the destiny of this nation, and that Iraq is for all Iraqis and the Daesh members will go to hell and no one will feel sorry for them.
This came during the sermon of Eid al-Fitr's prayer led by his Eminence in Baghdad, Tuesday, July 29, 2014.
Comply with the Religious Authority and Stick to It Since It Is the Refuge and the Stronghold
His Eminence made clear that Iraq will be always resistant, united and honorable albeit the wounds, the pains, the despair, the failure and the weakness because it is the country of the messengers and the Imams and is bigger than anyone who tries to make a place for them in the history of this holy country. Here he addressed the members of the Martyr of the Niche movement by saying, "you are the honest people in a time where honesty and purity are scarce; you are the men of principles in a time where the false slogans became the trend. You proved to the world that you are loyal, honest and zealous, and you are men of word and attitude", explaining that the members of the Martyr of the Niche movement earned their people's respect through the credibility policy, urging them not to give it up. He also called on them to express their strongest will, considering the will and credibility together as the definite road to victory, if God wills, showing that the members of the Martyr of the Niche movement are men who defend the right and are swords in the hands of the religious authority, urging them to comply with the supreme religious authority and stick to it, considering it as the refuge, the stronghold and the road leading to the sacred goal, i.e. the satisfaction of Allah the Almighty, and as the symbol and the defender of the right.
The Evil Terrorism Tries to Reshape the Region and Everyone Will Regret It If They Don't Face It at an Early Time
At the Arab level, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim said from the whining and crying of the violated Mosul, we lament the cries of the violated Gaza, for terrorism has one origin and one mastermind regardless its different names and titles and today the evil has become united in its assault, adding that everything has become clear now and the dark, terrorist conspiracy has unraveled where terrorists are switching roles. His Eminence noted that there is terrorism in the name of the religion and those who pretend they belong to, and there is terrorism in the name of the chosen people of God, and both are similar and this is not by chance. He warned that the dark, evil terrorism which tries to reshape the region and mess with the fate of its peoples will exclude nobody and everyone one will regret it sooner or later if they don't face and counter it at an early time.
