Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Receives the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met at his office in Baghdad on Sunday, August 17, 2014, with the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Hassan Danie. Both sides said they were optimistic about the political developments in Iraq and the regionally and internationally-supported nomination of Mr. Abadi for the task of forming the next government, while his Eminence stressed the importance of working altogether to get Iraq out of its current security crisis.
