Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, with the head of the Union of Nationalist Forces at the Council of Representatives, Mr. Usama al- Nujayfi.
Both sides have discussed the political situation in Iraq and how to form the next government and support the displaced families and bring them relief. His Eminence called the political movements to make compromises in terms of their demands so as to form a helpful government that represents all segments of the Iraqi people, stressing the importance of passing the major laws that were circumvented during the previous parliamentary meetings as well as the importance that the candidates for the next ministerial offices be honest and competent.
