Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met, in the margins of his visit to the capital of Kurdistan, the archbishop of Erbil, Bashar Matta Warde, and a number of priests at the church of Saint Joseph and the sanctuary of Mart Shmoni on Monday, September 22, 2014. Archbishop Warde commended the visit of the head of the Islamic Supreme Council to Erbil and considered it to be successful and timely. He also expressed his appreciation of the conference on the displaced held by the Supreme Council in Baghdad last Saturday, hoping that the conference would bring about positive results that serve the interests of the displaced, ensure their needs and support the efforts aiming to reinstate them to the regions freed from the terrorist ISIS group.
