Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, visited, along with the accompanying delegation, the Iraqi Kurdistan parliament on Monday, September 22, 2014. The two sides tackled the general political and security situation as well as the disputes between the Kurdistan region and the central level, the security plans and the situation of displaced people in the region. His eminence also discussed with the speaker of parliament Mr. Youssef Mohammed Sadek the laws on fuel, gas, the federal council and a number of laws to be enacted in the coming period of time to help mend the fences and overcome the pending disputes.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed the situation on the field of the armed forces and the Peshmerga, as well as the security plans suggested to recover the regions currently under the control of the terrorist group of ISIS and to reinstate the displaced in the regions they originate from.
