    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Attends a Meeting of the National Iraqi Alliance Leaderships to Discuss the Security and Political Developments

     
    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, attended, on October 13, 2014, a meeting held by the National Iraqi Alliance leaderships and led by Mr. Ibrahim al-Jaafari, head of the Alliance, to discuss the security and political developments in the country. Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim said during the meeting, they have also discussed the importance of choosing the security officials as soon as possible and of agreeing on their names, not to mention the emphasis on the unity and the necessity of the National Alliance in this stage. During the meeting, there were also discussions about the importance of making concerted efforts and working in coordination with the international coalition to support the efforts of our armed forces and cooperate with them to eradicate the terrorist ISIS and to ensure the return of the displaced people to their hometowns. The meeting was attended by the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, the head of Badr Organization, Mr. Badr al-Amiri, the national security advisor, Mr. Faleh al-Fayad, the Iraqi Fadhila party deputy, Mr. Ammar Tohme, and the head of Dawa party- Iraq organization, Mr. Khalid al-Assadi, as well as a number of the National Alliance leaders.
