During a Meeting with Mr. Haider al-Abadi, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Renews his Support for the Government in the Right Steps It Takes

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, renewed his support for Haider-al-Abadi-led government in the right steps it takes on the security, political, social and service levels, hoping it can address the difficulties the displaced Iraqis face, improve their living conditions, and resolve the obstacles standing in the way of volunteers in the popular crowd, warning against the media and psychological warfare waged by the enemies of Iraq to carry out their evil plans.
This came during a meeting between Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim and the Prime Minister, Mr. Haider al-Abadi in the latter's office in Baghdad on Friday, October 16, 2014.
Both sides also deeply discussed the security situation and the achievements of the heroic security forces and popular crowd members, while tackling the political situation and the filling of the ministerial vacancies issue, not to mention the quick measures to be taken to implement the government program and resolve the current crises. Moreover, there were talks about the national alliance, and how to develop the Iraqis local relationships and the regional and international relations as well.
For his part, Mr. al-Abadi praised the strength and steadfastness of the security and popular crowd forces, affirming that the security situation in Baghdad and Anbar is so reassuring thanks to the constructive cooperation between the military forces and the tribal members in countering the ISIS gangs. He also said that Iraq needs air cover, training and weapons, and not foreign land forces.
