    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim and The Turkish Ambassador Call On the International Community to Necessarily Combat Terrorism

     
    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, called on the international community to support Iraq in its combat against terrorism, stressing the need to consolidate bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey in various fields, and exchange visits between these two neighboring countries for their advantage.
    This came in a meeting between his Eminence and the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Baghdad, Mr. Farouq Qaimagja, in his Eminence’s office, Saturday October 25, 2014.   
     
    For his part, the Turkish ambassador affirmed that his country is standing by Iraq in its war against terrorism, pointing out that terrorism is a danger that threatens all people, and everybody must fight and eliminate it. He repeated his country’s support to the national unity government in Iraq. Both parties discussed as well the regional situation.
