Sayyid Ammarl al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq , stressed the importance of asking Allah to grant us victory in our war against the ISIS, calling for begging, getting broken and shedding tears before Allah the Almighty to bestow victory on us, for, according to him, the best gift a servant can get from Allah is asceticism, religious deep knowledge and insight.
This came during the second evening of Muharram on Sunday, October 26, 2014.
His Eminence said that revival of the rituals of Hussein (AS) by hundreds of millions of people after 1400 years can only be justified by the link that connects Hussein (AS) to Allah and his embodiment of the divine plan, making clear that the "execute then discuss" rule doesn’t apply in Islam because Islam is about the philosophy of legislation and so many stories are overflowed with it. Thus he urged the believers to enhance their knowledge in the religion, showing that Islam is the religion of moderation and acceptance of the others, not the religion of seclusion or slaughtering.
