In the Sixth Evening of Muharram, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Expresses his Condolences and Solidarity with the Albu Nimr Tribes and Assures that ISIS Has Lost Its Supporters

Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, expressed his solidarity and condolences to the Albu Nimr tribes who defend the land, the honor and dignity, indicating that Iraq is suffering from the ISIS-based thought which does not exempt any sect, religion, ethnicity or region in Iraq. His eminence considered the massacre committed against the Albu Nimr tribe as another evidence of the aberrant thoughts of ISIS, which belittles blood, knowing that it is one of Allah’s greatest sanctities. He also assured that ISIS has lost its supporters and will soon end, calling on Iraqis of all affiliations and components to fight against ISIS. Furthermore, his eminence insisted that the Iraqis are the ones who should fight ISIS, explaining that the coming days will witness other victories over the terrorist gangs. He underlined that the companions of Hussain (AS) had a high level of insight as they were ready to sacrifice their life for the reformist Hussaini project. He highlighted that their support for Hussain (AS) was not just a support for a person but a support based on an ideology and a deep faith to the point that they got to prefer death in the absence of the owner of the reformist project.
This came during the sixth evening of Muharram held at his eminence’s office in Baghdad on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim warned against hypocrisy and hypocrites, considering hypocrisy to be among the most dangerous illnesses that could hit a community. His eminence indicated in this regard that there are 600 verses about hypocrisy, clarifying that the intersection of interests is the essence of hypocrisy. He finally stated that hypocrites declare war on reform projects and seek to undermine them through networks and outbidding others in faith and patriotism.
