Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council, said the national unity through the communication between the tribes and their support for each other will make Iraq stronger and thus safe from the enemies' conspiracies and will stop the continuous Iraqi bloodshed. This came in a meeting held between his Eminence on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his office in Baghdad and a delegation representing the leaders of the Dulaym-al Mahamda tribes of the middle Euphrates provinces. His Eminence stated that the Iraqis have only themselves to rely on and there are no exterior solutions for our interior problems because it is the interests of the other countries that guide their efforts and govern their behaviors, adding that the harmony between Iraqis and the agreement on one platform will change the political equations and will urge the world to stand by, support and consolidate the efforts of the Iraqis in countering terrorism, reaching a global reconciliation and expulsing the terrorist ISIS gangs. He also hoped that the stupid acts of the group constitute an opportunity for the citizens to rally against terrorism and terrorists since those target everyone without exception.
