During His Meeting with Al Jalabi, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Calls to Pursue the Meetings Between the Parliamentary Financial Committee and the Government to Bring the Draft Budget to Maturity
Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, called to pursue the meetings between the parliamentary financial committee and the government to bring the draft budget to maturity. His eminence expressed his support to the meeting that was held between the committee and the government in the purpose of discussing the budget. He considered the meeting a positive step and insisted on rationalizing the budget items, especially non-essential ones, indicating that the security and political situation is witnessing a remarkable development particularly with respect to the regional relations and relations with neighboring countries.
This came when his eminence was receiving Dr. Ahmad Al Jalabi, head of the parliamentary financial committee, in his office in Baghdad on Monday, December 15, 2014.
For his part, Al Jalabi stated that he discussed with Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim the financial situation in Iraq in light of the decrease of oil prices, as well as the security and political developments.
